Living soil biology, delivered local.

Red wiggler starter kits, worm castings, and aerated worm tea for Boise-area gardeners, composters, and urban growers. Fresh, small-batch, and rooted in education.

Get on the List

We are building demand-first: no inventory risk, no pre-orders, just a quick signal of what Boise-area growers actually want. Tell us what you're interested in and we'll email you first when it's ready.

Our Mission

We produce and sell high-quality red wiggler composting worms, worm castings, and beginner-friendly vermicomposting kits to home gardeners in our local region β€” starting small, selling direct, and growing only as demand proves itself.

We prioritize freshness, education, and customer success over bulk volume. We are not a commodity agricultural supplier. We are a trusted local source for living soil biology and composting know-how.

Started Small in Boise

Vermi-Couture began as a sole proprietorship: one person, a few breeding bins, and a mission to build something honest. That structure lets us test the market and serve customers without the overhead of a corporation.

Now

Sole Proprietorship

Operating under an Assumed Business Name (DBA) with the Idaho Secretary of State. All products are harvest-to-order, labeled conservatively, and tracked by batch.

Next

LLC Conversion

Once revenue is consistent and product liability exposure grows, the business will convert to an Idaho LLC for stronger legal protection and cleaner ownership.

Always

Insurance & Testing

General and product liability insurance, Idaho ISDA soil amendment registration, and voluntary lab testing are built into the growth path from day one.

Phase 1 Products β€” planned, not yet for sale

Everything is harvest-to-order, produced indoors in Boise, and packaged to keep the biology alive. Prices are estimates; final pricing will be set at launch.

Use the bedding and care card we include. Keep it indoors at 55–77Β°F.

Feed & learn

Add small amounts of veggie scraps, coffee grounds, and paper. We teach you what works.

Harvest castings

In 2–4 months, harvest dark, crumbly castings β€” or trade up to a bigger kit.

Best Practices, Built In

We run clean because your plants and our business depend on it.

Clean Feedstock

Paper, cardboard, vegetable scraps, coffee grounds, eggshells. No meat, dairy, oils, pet waste, or synthetics.

Harvest-to-Order

Live worms are never warehoused. We pack them when you order so they arrive active and fresh.

Batch Records

Every castings batch is logged with feedstock source, harvest date, and test status.
